Jerry Sias- Ferrysburg Mayor
About Jerry Sias
Jerry Sias was born in Grand Haven and raised in the neighboring city of Ferrysburg, where he developed a deep appreciation for the values of community, service, and integrity. A proud graduate of Grand Haven High School, Class of 1990, he went on to serve his country with honor and distinction.
Shortly after graduation, Jerry enlisted in the United States Army. Over the course of eight years, he served with dedication and was recognized as a decorated veteran of the Gulf War. His time in the military instilled in him a strong sense of discipline, leadership, and commitment to public service—values that continue to guide him today.
In 2018, Jerry stepped into the political arena as the Democratic candidate for Michigan State House District 89 in Ottawa County. In 2020, he ran as a write-in candidate for Ferrysburg City Council and earned the trust of voters through a successful grassroots campaign. He has proudly served on the Ferrysburg City Council for the past five years, working to represent the voices of local residents and to strengthen the city’s future through transparent and inclusive leadership.
Jerry Sias remains deeply committed to serving the people of Ferrysburg and Ottawa County with the same courage, clarity, and conviction that have defined his life of service.

About Andrew Bult
Andrew Bult was born and raised in Hudsonville, Michigan, and has proudly called Zeeland home since 2021. He lives near downtown with his wife, Emily, their golden retriever, Charlie, and their young daughter, who recently celebrated her first birthday.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Grand Valley State University, Andrew earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2022, he opened the Hulst Jepsen Physical Therapy clinic in Zeeland, just steps from the heart of downtown. Through his work, Andrew has developed deep connections within the community and a strong understanding of the needs and values of Zeeland residents.
Andrew believes Zeeland is a truly special place—one of the few communities that still holds a “small-town Mayberry” feel. He values its tight-knit character and believes that preserving that sense of connection and shared purpose is essential, even as the city continues to grow and evolve.
As a candidate for public office, Andrew is committed to ensuring that Zeeland remains a welcoming, vibrant, and family-friendly community. He believes that the voices of citizens should be at the forefront of every decision—from downtown development and park renovations to street repairs and industrial expansion. His goal is to strengthen the city’s offerings while protecting the qualities that make Zeeland such a remarkable place to live, work, and raise a family.
Tim Marroquin – Holland City Council
About Tim Marroquin
Tim Marroquin is a lifelong resident of Holland and has lived in Ward 3 for the past 12 years. He currently serves as a School Board Trustee, President of the Herrick Library Board, and is active with LAUP.
Previously, Tim contributed his time and leadership to the City of Holland Parks and Recreation Commission and the Human Relations Commission.
He is committed to serving the community while elevating the voices and issues of those who have been traditionally underserved and underrepresented. His top priorities include zoning and renters’ rights.
Tim holds an M.Ed. in Adult & Higher Education from Grand Valley State University (GVSU), where he is also employed.

Glenn Kass – Zeeland City Council
About Glenn Kass
Glenn Kass has proudly served on the Zeeland City Council since 2009. Before his election, he dedicated six years to the city’s Planning Commission, where he helped guide thoughtful development and community planning efforts.
A Zeeland resident since 1998, Glenn has spent over two decades actively contributing to the city’s growth, stability, and quality of life. Over the past 16 years on City Council, he has remained committed to public service and citizen-focused governance.

Jack Groot – Hudsonville City Commission
Meet Jack Groot
Jack Groot has lived in Hudsonville for more than 30 years. He is a husband, father, real estate broker, and entrepreneur who cares deeply about community and local leadership. Jack believes in being involved and giving back through business, city government, and his local church.
He first ran for office because he believes local government needs strong and thoughtful leadership from people who listen, collaborate, and make decisions with the long-term good in mind. With decades of experience running businesses, serving on boards, and leading teams, Jack brings a practical, private-sector perspective to the City Commission.
Jack currently serves as a Hudsonville City Commissioner, Chairperson of the Downtown Development Authority, and member of the Terra Square Advisory Board and Strategic Plan Steering Committee. His background in both business and community service gives him a strong understanding of how to lead collaboratively and make balanced decisions that serve the city’s needs today and in the future.

Sarah Kallio – Grand Haven City Council
About Sarah Kallio
Sarah Kallio has called Grand Haven home for nearly 25 years. She and her husband, Larry, raised their two daughters there and have a deep appreciation for the community, spirit, and character that make Grand Haven so special.
With a degree from MSU’s College of Engineering, Sarah began her career negotiating contracts in the automotive industry before launching her own business supporting local entrepreneurs with marketing and design. She’s also a published author, long-time volunteer, and was a proud Grand Haven Public Schools mom for 20 years.
Sarah cares deeply about Grand Haven and believes she can bring fresh, thoughtful leadership—leadership that listens, finds common ground, and focuses on practical solutions. She’s ready to take her commitment to the community further by helping move the city forward, together.

Erin Lyon – Grand Haven City Council
About Erin Lyon
Erin Lyon has called Grand Haven home for 23 years and is deeply committed to the future of this community. As the owner of Jumpin’ Java in downtown Grand Haven and operator of Kenzie’s Be Café on the East Side, Erin understands the importance of supporting local businesses and creating vibrant neighborhoods.
A graduate of Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Master’s in Business Administration, Erin went on to earn a Law Degree from Michigan State University. With a strong background in finance, business, and law, she brings valuable expertise in fiscal responsibility, strategic planning, and policy development. These are skills that are essential for guiding Grand Haven forward.
Beyond her professional experience, Erin has a long history of service and leadership in the community. She has served on the Winterfest Planning Committee, the Imagination Station Fundraising Committee, Walk the Beat Board, and as President of the East End Association. She was also Treasurer of Gracious Grounds, a Chamber Ambassador, and helped launch the Salmon Run 5K fundraiser for the Momentum Center. Today, Erin is an active member of the Grand Haven Rotary and the Sunset Retirement Community Foundation Board, while continuing to support many other local organizations.
Erin is running for Grand Haven City Council because she believes in Grand Haven’s potential and wants to ensure it remains a place where families, businesses, and longtime residents can thrive. Her priorities include:
- Affordability & Families: Making Grand Haven attainable for young families while protecting the quality of life for longtime residents.
- Fiscal Responsibility: Ensuring tax dollars and grant funding are used wisely, while exploring creative ways to generate income.
- Smart Development: Supporting growth across all neighborhoods—downtown, Washington Square, East Town, and Center Town—through balanced, thoughtful development.
Erin lives on the west side of town with her partner of eight years, Seth, and enjoys the many opportunities Grand Haven offers—from walking the pier and running Hofma Park to spending time with family, friends, and neighbors.
She has attended numerous City Council and Planning Commission meetings and is well-versed in the processes that guide local government. Erin is committed to serving with transparency, accountability, and integrity, ensuring that Grand Haven remains a community for all.
